Dear fellow worker in Christ
The ‘Loaves & Fishes’ project, a celebration of community all around Morecambe Bay from Barrow-in-Furness to Fleetwood.
Pentecost week, 7-15 June 2014, will provide an opportunity for over 90 parishes, chapel congregations and meetings and 60 schools bordering the Bay to celebrate its life and landscape in picnics, family meals and village parties, using fish, seafood and wholesome bread.
The ‘Loaves & Fishes’ project has the support of all the local Anglican & Roman Catholic bishops and other Christian leaders. We invite you to join us in embracing local communities and our fellow creatures from the sea, against the beautiful backdrop of the Bay. You can register an initial interest at the email address shown in the attachment and await further information.
In particular, if you or anyone in your community is a keen bread-maker, please tell us now, as you/they can help trail the ‘Loaves & Fishes’ project from mid-March onwards, making a loaf and passing on the leaven to the next village and so on, all around the Bay. Remember, a little leaven makes the whole loaf rise!
