Fresh Expressions – October Prayer request

What is a Fresh Expression?
A Fresh Expression is a form of church for our changing culture, established primarily for the benefit of people who are not yet members of any church.
It will come into being through principles of listening, service, incarnational mission and making disciples.
It will have the potential to become a mature expression of church shaped by the gospel and the enduring marks of the church, and for its cultural context.

Please Pray for…
- Give thanks for the growing number of Fresh Expressions in this area.
- The Fresh Expressions Area Strategy Team (FEAST) as it meets on 14th October and Bishop Chris Edmondson who is the convenor.
- For the formation of specific focus groups within FEAST.
- For the planning of the ‘One in Christ’ event to be held on 11th Oct at St Peter’s House, Manchester.
- For the Catalyst event bringing together Church Planters and Pioneers for mutual support. To be held on 7th Oct 2010.
- For the URC in Levenshulme as they redevelop their church premises with a community focus.
- For people to take up the Mission Shaped Ministry course beginning in January.
