‘The Space’ (Human Givens Consultancy), Gulf’s Road, Kendal LA9 4DT
which is a modern building close to the river.
Pedestrian access from Dowkers Lane car park (behind Boyes on Highgate), currently free parking in the evening. From Kendal’s One-Way circuit, vehicle access to this car park is off Kirkland/Highgate, immediately after a pedestrian crossing with traffic lights. This is the second road on the right after passing Kendal Parish Church, but the first road often goes unnoticed.
Walk down towards the river, towards, but not as far as, New Road. The Space is next door to Peill & Co. It has comfort and facilities, including a stocked kitchen where tea and coffee can be made for a nominal 30p per cup (honesty box).
Pedestrian access from New Road. Gulf’s Road is the cul-de-sac on the right at the foot of Lowther Street which leads into Edgecombe Court. It runs just above the riverside walk downstream of Miller Bridge. There is no car parking on or off this road, but walk this way from New Road car park if you are fortunate enough to find space.
