Fellside Centre is used by South Lakes Interfaith Fellowship and by
the local Theravada Buddhist Group among other local community users.
It is run by an independent body that is now a registered Industrial
and Provident Society (Number 31394R). They are now able to sell
shares to achieve their aim of co-ownership of the centre.
They will shortly issue a Prospectus with proposals, plans, figures
and all the information needed to make a decision to buy shares, which
will start at £100 (well that’s £1 each share but you must buy 100 or
more). The Prospectus will be ready in about a month.
The provisional share launch date is Saturday 15th October. They are
hopeful that the necessary amount can be raised.
Their next fundraising event is a Ceilidh with Macaroon Ceilidh Band
on Friday 14th October.
On 3 December there will be an exhibition of the work of Josephina de
Vasconelllos, a sculptor who lived and worked in Cumbria. You can
Google her to see her sculptures and where they are sited.
There will be a Percussion Day in the New Year.
