Carver Uniting Church in Windermere and Kendal URC are seeking a full time Community Pastor (development worker / lay pastor).
The Kendal project starts with refurbishing a shop and hall enabling us to have a presence on a busy street. Working with the Elders and Members of Kendal United Reformed Church you will take the lead in developing the way this investment will engage with the community and support the God For All strategy of the Cumbria Churches.
Carver Uniting Church, Windermere is seeking new enthusiasm and direction following the closure of the neighbouring training centre along with strengthening of pastoral care. You will take the lead in helping us find new ways of worship and additional ways to use our buildings.
Alongside the Elders you will help, support and strengthen the church through pastoral care and community engagement.
You will take a regular part in leading public worship in both churches.
It is an occupational requirement that the post-holder is a Christian. DBS disclosure will be required.
A full time position with a salary of £23,500 – £26,000 depending on experience.
