What is More Than Gold?
Since the 1996 Atlanta Games churches have responded to the world’s major sporting
events under the banner ‘More Than Gold’. And More Than Gold was established in the UK
in 2008 under the chairmanship of Lord Brian Mawhinney. More Than Gold has the support
of all the main denominations, over sixty Christian organisations and mission agencies.
