As we move through Lent many of us will be reflecting on doing without. While we can never really imagine the situation for many of the poorest people in our world, we can make a difference to their lives. This email provides some exciting opportunities to do just that over the coming months. Thank you, on behalf of our partners, for your continued support.
Join us this April for a trekking challenge through the scenic and historic countryside that lines this UNESCO world heritage site. The two-day trek starts at Lanercost Priory in Cumbria and runs 25 miles along the only remaining sections of the wall.
Challenge yourself to spend just £1 per day on food and drink for five days, and experience the reality of life for the 1.4 billion living in extreme poverty.
Join communities across the UK to stand in solidarity with the world’s poorest people and transform their lives.
All over the UK, our supporters are abseiling to raise money for our work. We would love to hold abseils in Cumbria, but we have a problem: we need something to jump off! Would your church be willing to host an abseil? All of our abseils are run by a professional abseiling company and we carry out all of the logistics, meaning that very little work is required of you to make it a successful event.
