Easter 2012 – Oberammergau comes to Kendal?
There are exciting plans afoot to stage a Kendal Community Passion Play for Easter 2012. The play will tell the Easter story and will take place over the afternoon and evening of 6th and 7th April 2012 in Kendal town centre (6th) and Kendal Castle (7th).
There will be opportunities for people of all ages to take part in all kinds of ways: acting (in addition to the main parts there will be large numbers required for crowd scenes,) music and dance, administration, sets and costumes, publicity and fund-raising. The play will be a community event, but it is particularly important that all the churches are well represented. The next meetings are:
