SILENT PEACE VIGIL: The Justice and Peace Group at the Catholic Church in Kendal will hold an hour of prayer for peace, from 12noon to 1pm on Tuesday 6 August, outside the parish centre on the corner of New Road and Blackhall Road. Everyone is invited to join in memory of those who died when an atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima on that day in 1945, and all those who suffered subsequently.
